Down The Memory Lane
"2020 has been a hard year" is the understatement of 2020.
It is the fear of you and your loved ones catching a deadly virus. Watching helplessly as more than two million human beings have perished. The social unrest that followed. It was a reminder from mother nature that we still have so much work to do.
Humanity came closer as we all stood for each in our capacities and took a step closer to the larger good. From scientist from all over the world working to make the vaccine for the novel Corona Virus to locals ensuring that no daily wager sleep hungry. I will now take you guys down the memory lane before someone decided to eat a bat and restrict our lives to our rooms.
1. Take a picture of something blue using the rule of thirds
I took this picture on my first visit to Islamabad. I was there to reappear for my SAT I examination. This picture reminds me of stressful days of college when the university admissions were the only thought at that time.
2. Take a picture of something yellow using the rule of thirds
This is a picture from the last Nikkah ceremony attended as my cousin tied the knot. It was a small event organized at their house. After revisiting this memory I now have a serious craving for Shadi ka Khana.
3. Take a picture of something using fill-the-frame
4. Take an interesting photo of a building from up high or down low
No specific memory is attached to this photo. I took it on my way back to home from Frere Hall weekend book fair. It is the iconic building of DJ Science College reminding us of the British rule.
This is the picture that tells the story of every Karachite who never fails to find his joy in misery. Last past years have been very tough for Pakistan's breadwinner, Karachi. Last year neither rich nor poor were able to escape the wrath of torrential rains. It was again people coming out to each other was a ray of hope that this divided nation of ours have some unity left.
6. Using different leading lines, take a photo of different person or thing
It was a picture I took when I visited the Cantt Station. It is their technical area where the train engines come for repair and maintenance.
7. Take a nice vertical portrait of one of your friends…. Make sure to check all corners of the frame!
8. Now, take a horizontal portrait of a teacher or classmate

9. Finally, take a creative photo of yourself
This is me sitting and hoping that a better future awaits us. Covid was not a great time for us to start our university. We were not able to interact and make memories. Despite that activities like these helped us to know each other to some extent. Lastly thank you, everyone, who read the blog and commented on it.
